EPTFE is an expanded 100% virgin PTFE resin. The finished expanded PTFE exhibits characteristics significantly different than standard PTFE sheet. The EPTFE is softer and more flexible and therefore it conforms much easier to rough and irregular surfaces. This softer material is more compressible and has a lower cold flow rate with minimal creep. This material complies with FDA regulations for food contact and EU1935/2004. It is compatible with aggressive chemicals from a range of 0 to 14 PH, except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine. This clean and non-toxic gasket material is used in the food and drug, petro chemical and pulp and paper industry as well as the distilling and marine industry. It resists temperatures from -450° F to +500° F.
