The Dell PowerConnect 2848 supports a switch fabric capacity of up to 96 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 71.4 Mpps. Up to 8,000 MAC addresses can be stored in the Dell 2848 and 2 Mb of packet buffer memory is built into the switch. The PowerConnect 2848 supports VLAN tagging, up to 64 port-based VLANs at once. The network switch can deliver four Quality of Service (QoS) priority queues per port. The Dell 2848 can support link aggregation adhering to 802.3ad standards. With 48 LAN ports and 4xSFP Gigabyte Ethernet interfaces, this switch delivers fast and reliable network connectivity. This PowerConnect switch supports Ethernet technology, with a maximum data transfer rate of 1 Gbps and LAN data rate of up to 1000 Mbps/1 Gbps.
